Bins & sizes
What is a Marrel bin?
A Marrel bin is the classic open skip with sloped ends. Our skip loader lifts it on and off with chains, and it sits low to the ground, so it's easy to load by hand or with a wheelbarrow. It also fits on most driveways. All of our bins are Marrel skips.
What sizes do you offer?
2m³, 3m³, 4m³, 5m³, 6m³, 8m³ and 10m³. As a rough guide, 1m³ is about four 240L wheelie bins, or one level-loaded 6×4 box trailer.
How do I know which size I need?
Start with our bin size guide. A garage clean-out often needs 2–3m³, a bathroom renovation 3–4m³, and a kitchen renovation 4–6m³. The quote form asks for your name, phone number, waste type and bin of interest. Choose “Not sure” if you need help; a photo can help us discuss a suitable size with you.
Can I send a photo of my waste?
Yes, photos are optional. The form sends your four enquiry details first and gives you a reference. You can then share selected photos using a supported app, or attach them manually to an email with that reference. Photos stay on your device until you share or email them; selecting a photo does not upload it.
What if my job is bigger than 10m³?
We can supply several bins at once, or set up regular exchanges where we swap a full bin for an empty one on a schedule that suits your job.
What can go in
What waste can I put in the bin?
General household waste, furniture, building and renovation waste, timber, green waste, scrap metal, cardboard, plasterboard, and heavy waste such as bricks, concrete, tiles and soil (in bins up to 6m³).
What can't go in the bin?
Asbestos, chemicals, liquid paint, oils, gas bottles, car batteries, tyres, clinical waste, liquids and mattresses. Asbestos must be removed by a licensed removalist under SafeWork NSW rules.
Why are heavy waste bins limited to 6m³?
Soil, concrete and bricks are extremely heavy. Above 6m³, a full bin would exceed safe and legal lifting and road weight limits. Heavy waste must also not be filled above the rim.
Can I put fridges or e-waste in?
Usually yes, but whitegoods and e-waste need separate handling and an extra fee may apply. Mention them when we discuss your quote. Mattresses cannot go in our bins.
Delivery, permits & hire
Where can the bin be placed?
On a driveway, in a yard, on a work site, or on the road or footpath with a council permit. Our truck needs firm, clear access and enough overhead clearance. Let us know about steep driveways, low wires or tight gates.
Do I need a council permit?
If the bin goes on your property, usually not. If it goes on the road, nature strip or footpath, most NSW councils require a permit. We'll let you know what applies in your area when we confirm your quote.
Will the bin damage my driveway?
Our drivers place bins carefully. On delicate surfaces, we recommend laying timber boards under the bin's skids to spread the load.
How long can I keep the bin?
Hire periods are flexible, from a few days to ongoing site hire. Choose your period when booking. If you need longer, call us and we can extend it.
What happens to my rubbish?
Every load goes to licensed NSW waste and recycling facilities, where timber, metal, green waste, concrete and cardboard are recovered wherever possible.
Pricing & accounts
How do I confirm the price?
The bin prices currently shown are placeholders: $500 AUD including GST for each size. Start with your name, phone number, waste type and bin of interest. Our team will confirm the size, delivery location, access and dates before giving you a final quote.
What's included in the price?
Your quote covers delivery, the agreed hire period, collection and disposal of the waste you told us about. Extra charges only apply for things like excess weight, overfilling, extended hire or items not mentioned when booking. See our terms & conditions.
Do you offer trade accounts?
Yes. Builders and businesses can apply for a trade account with consolidated invoicing and scheduled exchanges. Apply on our trade account page or give us a call.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
